The world of security expertise is a complex and confusing arena. Organizations are challenged to provide intellectual property that may not ever be used. Even more complicated is the mix of federal and private sector agenda. In some cases, the mandates conflict with accepted practice. In other cases the lack of mandates hamper resolution of security solutions. In all cases, the quests for funding or value judgments often prohibit the actual roll out of workable solutions to the need for our security. After all, it is very difficult to place a value to predict what my actually happen.
The Texas Homeland Security Alliance was formed to create a place for those in search for answers to security problems and to provide a vehicle to offer solutions. We are a resource that offers tangible fixes to the protection needed. To this end, we offer visibility to those in both the government and private sectors looking for resolution to threat and vulnerability issues. Our purpose is to support business procurement, education, and research and development for Homeland Security needs in both the public and private sectors.
It is also our intent to allow our various facets of technology and product to reach out to each other to do business. All of us recognize that at the end of the road is the need for profitable commerce. Hence, the availability for member interaction through the use of experience and product matrices. Although this service is only available to our subscribers several of the larger members of the alliance look to place business through the Texas Homeland Security Alliance participants. We also provide input on activities in both government and industry to those members looking for additional data inputs.
